$25.5 Millions Given to Arizona by Indian Casinos
The Department of Gaming in Arizona has reported that the twenty two Indian casinos, which include the casinos owned by local tribes, have given more than twenty five million dollars in revenues during the first quarter.
The quarterly revenues for 2006 have soared seventeen percent from over twenty one million in the same quarter last year.
Arizona Indian Gaming Association director, Sheila Morago, said that the contributions are signs of a strong economy.
Analysis Group Inc, economist Alan Meister, made the Indian Gaming Industry Report.
The June report of the gambling industry shows that Arizona is number three for tribal casino revenues in the U.S.
California is in the number one spot with more than seven billion dollars and the Connecticut placed number two with over two billion dollars.
The total revenues for the fiscal year from the state gaming department has soared from sixty five million dollars in 2005 to more than eighty million dollars this year.
Since the implementation of Proposition 202 in 2003, the state gaming tribes have given revenues to different state programs.
